Sampling Pickled Plums and Rice Wine in Hanoi

I took the night train again back to Hanoi, checked back into my boutique hotel, and spent the rest of the day sightseeing, eating and shopping. Above is the Huc (Rising Sun) Bridge that leads to Ngoc Son Temple. The orange and green top I'm wearing is handmade in Sapa, and I received much attention for it. All day, Vietnamese woman plucked at the fabric covetously and asked me where I bought and how much I paid for it (7.00 USD).

Then I strolled to the Dong Xuan market to see interesting fruits and vegetables, bought half a kilo of pickled plums to munch on, and ended the evening sampling traditional rice wine infused with fruits and herbs. Best flavors were Tao Meo (Rose Apple) and Mo Vang (Apricot).
